TL;DR = There are strict rules and regulations surrounding the ability to offer CME/CE for our courses; each course carries a Term of Approval and a corresponding expiry date. Once a course has expired, you will no longer be able to access it. We regret that there are NO exceptions and no course extensions. Please be mindful of these dates when making course purchases.
Under ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) guidelines, a course cannot be completed after its accreditation period ends because it is no longer eligible for CME credit. ACCME accreditation ensures that activities meet current quality and compliance standards, and once the period expires, the course content may no longer reflect the latest clinical knowledge or professional standards. Additionally, accredited providers are restricted from awarding CME credits for activities conducted outside the defined accreditation timeframe, as this would violate ACCME’s regulatory and reporting requirements.
This Term of Approval and expiry date can be seen for each course in our CME/CE Store as well as in your Learning Center course Home page.
Course expiry dates also allow us to make necessary updates to the content when releasing new editions; additionally, we can offer enhanced learning and accessibility features as digital learning software technology advances.
